Adidas is Sitting on Mountains of Yeezy Shoes

When Adidas ended its relationship with Kanye West, we all wondered what would happen with the Yeezys in production. We assumed that millions of pairs were sitting in warehouses waiting for their release dates. Shoes that were once staples in our collections would be collecting dust in unprecedented quantities. Well, our assumptions were correct. The Financial Times has recently reported that Adidas currently possesses over $500 million dollars of unreleased Yeezy product. Adidas recently announced, however, that many of these silhouettes would be hitting the market without Yeezy branding. Confirmed releases for 2023 include the 500 and 350 v2 sneakers. It’s rumored that in order to do this Adidas has created a dedicated team. This team is rumored to be tasked with replacing soles and labels of all unreleased product.
