Jordan 1 Mid Space Jam: Cop or Shop

There are few shoes as iconic as the Space Jam Jordan 11s. The black patent leather uppers, white midsole, and icy soles are a clean combination. The combination is so clean, in fact, that Nike has repurposed them many times to pay homage to the famed Space Jam 11s. Their recent release of the Jordan 1 Mid SE "Space Jam" is another one of said scenarios. Releasing in January, these Jordan 1 Mids pander to those who see the Space Jams as their grails while riding the small Jordan 1 Mid wave we've been experiencing. This pair is sure to go with most any outfit and turn heads. Not to mention they're an added bonus to the collection of anyone lucky enough to also own a pair of Space Jam 11s. With the release of this shoe, the Proof Team asked themselves the age-old question, are these a cop? Or are we continuing to shop?

The Proof Team Weighs In

Of course, as sneakerheads, our team has our own opinions about the shoe. Here's what the Proof team has to say about whether the Jordan 1 Mid SE "Space Jam" is a cop, or if they'd rather keep shopping.

"I can go either way on these. My internal test is whether or not I click the link to see if my size is available. I did click the link, my size was not available, and I'll tell you what, I sure didn't go looking for them on the resell marketplaces haha"

Erron

"The black on black with patent leather didn't hit me all that hard. I like the sole, but I felt the shoe was missing something that couldn't be hidden in the black on black."

Omar

Cop at Retail, Shop at Resale

"I do like the clear gum sole, but not the patent leather highlights. My thoughts are the same as Richard's, see if they have my size cop. If not shop. I would not pay reseller prices on these 1's."

John

Shop

"I actually like most aspects of the shoe except for the patent leather. For some reason, I just don't like patent leather's glossy finish. The icy sole serves as a really cool contrast to the black on black upper, however."
