Nike's Most-Wanted Sneakers of 2022

Even though we're 6 days into 2023, we're going to take a moment to tie up some loose ends from 2022. Each year, sneakerheads think back on what they feel were the best sneakers released in the past 12 months. These lists are always up to interpretation. This year, however, Nike took the time to figure out, statistically, which of their sneakers were the hottest of 2022. In the waning days of 2022, Nike SNKRS confirmed their hottest releases of the year. The list was displayed to users as a highlight reel in the app’s SNKRS Stories feature. While they did list the top 10, Nike didn’t provide the methods by which they ranked the shoes. We are assuming that the rankings are based on raffle entry counts for each shoe’s release. It’s also worth noting that the data collected was only scraped from US-based Nike SNKRS releases. While the list does carry a few surprises, most of it adds up when we consider all of this year’s big releases. (Of course, when A Ma Maniere and Travis Scott collaborate with The Swoosh, people take notice.) Many of these shoes also appeared on Complex’s Sneaker of the Year rankings.
