Proof Culture Celebrates Student Voice at Roxboro’s Children’s Ink
At Proof Culture, we believe self-expression isn’t just for sneaker design—it belongs in every step, every story, and every voice. That’s why we were honored to participate in Children’s Ink, the annual celebration of student writing hosted by Roxboro Elementary School in Cleveland Heights.
For over 20 years, this program has brought student voices to life—through poetry, short stories, and a tradition that celebrates creative expression. Each year, community leaders join the students on stage to read and honor their work. This year, I had the privilege of being one of them—and the honor was all mine.
One of the most joyful moments of the day was reading a poem titled “2 Cinquains” by a student named Cartier. With warmth and admiration, his words celebrated the feeling of home and the awe of friendship. In just ten short lines, he reminded us that poetry can be both simple and powerful—and that appreciation, culture, and kindness are always worth writing about.
It wasn’t just about the words on the page. It was about reflection. Identity. Power. From clever rhymes to personal dreams, these students reminded us that creativity starts early—and deserves to be amplified.
“To be able to lift up young authors in our community, especially in such a meaningful and public way, meant everything to me. It’s events like this that show us just how much the culture is watching—and listening.”
As a brand rooted in culture and uplift, we see initiatives like Children’s Ink as more than school events. They’re the future. Proof that greatness starts young, and deserves to be recognized now.
